Frequently Asked Questions about attraction pheromones

Pheromones do attract sex! Androstenone Pheromones can improve your mood!

Of course pheromones attract sex or the government wouldn't have wasted millions dollars on researching, producing and implementing their use. My cousins in Alabama laughed when they saw my web site--they spent years working for the Dept. of Agriculture baiting insect traps with boll weevil pheromones in order to save the cotton crop.

Why do you have to bait traps? Because you can't spray insecticide on wearable commodities (cotton, flax, silk, etc.), so you attract the pesky bugs to the insecticide instead. And yes, it worked. Several decades ago the cotton crop in the southeastern United States made a big comeback. That is a matter of public record.

Why are there all these articles about pheromones not working?

Because human pheromones are different. There are literally thousands of pheromone combinations that work on humans, including same sex attraction pheromones, and pheromones that improve your mood by naturally raising your hormone level (now being used by many doctors to treat PMS--see Professional Advantage Pheromones).

But proving all these things takes time and money, and there's no cotton crop to be saved, so research is minimal and sketchy. Unfortunately, the main thrust of human pheromone advertising is done by web sites with ads about guys getting laid.

I'm all for that, but most of my customers are not horny dudes, looking for a good time. Mostly they are folks who are looking for a partner, or more commonly, people who are in a relationship that needs a bit of spicing up. In today's busy world, spontaneous and simultaneous sparks are sometimes hard to come by, especially for people over the age of 26 whose normal pheromone production has slowed down.

Should teenagers use pheromones?

Certainly not. They won't hurt, but they won't help. If you are over the age of 26 and would like to improve your sex life, you should give pheromones a try. If you are under the age of 26 and have a normal sex drive, they won't do you any good whatsoever.

Why do some pheromones work and others don't?

Because some companies are out to rip you off. They use a very low concentration of pheromones or they use a substandard pheromone product to begin with. There are many web sites which rank effective pheromones and name names. The same ones who are trying to rip you off are the ones named on those web sites that I researched 10 years ago when I started this web site.

What's different about your web site & products?

This is your grandma's web site. I'm 65, grandmother of 2 teenagers, semi-retired. I found the love of my life at age 59 and enjoy offering a high grade product from a reputable laboratory. I named this web site after the frustration of feeling nearly naked (almost skyclad) when enduring the agony of dating during middle age.

I answer questions and love keeping track of my customers. Many of the people who order regularly found their partners with my products and are now back to spice up their marriage after a few years. I also have customers who order their custom fragrance once or twice a year and doctors and psychiatrists who use my product regularly to establish rapport with their patients.

I use my products as do my family and friends. I welcome your questions and comments.

What are pheromones?

The word pheromone is derived from the Greek words pheran (to transfer) and horman (to excite). Pheromones are found throughout the animal world and are the most primal form of communication.

Pheromones are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in all insects, animals, and humans. When certain pheromones (5-alpha-androst-16-en-30one) are secreted, they dictate sexual behavior and attract the opposite sex. The pheromones we use at Almost Skyclad are made in a laboratory for pharmaceutical use. They are 99.94% pure in the highest percentage solution proven to be effective as a sexual attractant.

Some pheromone products on the market are stronger than others (different concentrations of pheromones), some have only androstenone while others have a blend that includes other compounds as well, but all these products really rely on their concentration of the human pheromone 5-alpha-an-drost-16-ene-one for effectiveness.

Pheromones are also used by doctors as a mood enhancer and natural hormone producer to help relieve symptoms of PMS. Commercially, the latest news is the specially balanced blends which break down social barriers and help create a feeling of "friendliness" for those working with the public (see Professional Advantage Pheromones).

Professional Advantage Pheromones are a 99.49% pure pheromone blend proven to break down social barriers and put the person you are with immediately at ease. Although they aren't as widely known as pheromones formulated for sexual attraction, they are fast becoming the "best known secret" of anyone whose career demands public contact. Use Professional Advantage Pheromones on your body (neck, wrists and face (just in front of your ears is a favorite spot) just as you would use pheromones for sexual attraction. Use our handy refillable roll-on bottles for frequent application.

How do pheromones work ?

Pheromones are invisible and almost undetectable to the traditional sense of smell. When an adult man or woman inhales them, they send out a natural chemical signal of sex appeal or social acceptance that makes the wearer compellingly attractive

Scientists at the Universities of Colorado and Utah found that pheromones are detected through the vomeronasal organ (VNO) in the nose. The VNO functions as the distinct sensory apparatus that detects pheromones for humans. To test this idea, they placed devices inside the nose to measure cellular activity. What they found was that only the cells near the holes inside the nose react to air that contains pheromones.

To the scientist, pheromones act in a very different way from normal smells. Some years ago, researchers discovered the existence of a small organ in the nose of many animals (known as the VNO), which acts as a "detector" for pheromones much as the nose acts as a detector for odors.   One of the first mammals that was found to have such an organ was the domestic pig, and thus much of the early research relating pheromone activity with behavioral actions was done with pigs.  Amazingly enough, it was found that the presence of pheromones (even when the olfactory receptors  had been removed) had a direct affect on social behavior.  The end result of many years of experimentation determined that the VNO/pheromone effect is not dependent on any conditioning through experience, nor is it dependent upon the sense of smell.

Pheromones utilize this special organ (the VNO), which is separate from the normal smelling process. There is still much arguing about the presence of this VNO in humans, but it is well accepted that pigs and cows in the vicinity of the sex pheromones of their species will be rendered "in the mood" even if they have no sexual experience, as long as the VNO is intact.  It is now commonly accepted that pheromones regulate many common biological phenomenon in humans such as the commonly observed synchronization of menstrual cycles in households where many women live together.

Pheromone products are actually specifically intended for post-adolescent adults, as this is when the natural human production of pheromones declines drastically. Applying pheromone products helps to boost levels back to (and actually many times over) normal androstenone production levels.

What results are customers getting ?

I used to dread going to holiday parties. This year it was fun--I just wore my favorite scent around my neck and dabbed it on when someone interesting showed up. They always spoke to me first. It worked every time!

Women really love this stuff! I didn't have to use any phony lines to get girls to talk to me, even though I'm kind of shy. The flavors you've created are really unique, too. Even my parents like the way I smell!

After four years of marriage, my wife started hinting that she needed more romance. I started using your pheromone products as a mood enhancer and found that our love life improved dramatically! Thanks for the quality gifts and fragrance products.

How do I use this product ?

We create our fragrances by combining pheromones with essential oils. Although our designer scents smell very similar to the actual brand names, please note that all oils are type (duplicate) only, and not associated with brand names.

Pheromones are used just as you would use any cologne or fragrance. Dab some on your neck or on the back of your hands.

Wear your Almost Skyclad pheromone products on trips to the grocery store, the library, the bookstore, etc., not just out to a bar or club. Many of our customers have had limited success in crowded bars (where there is an overwhelming load of olifactory and vomeronasal stimulation present) but have experienced very good results when just wearing the preparation during their daily routine.
